A little about me...
Hello Slarts Community,
As a former student of SLArts (class of 2009), I am so excited to be back in the community where my love of learning first began.
I graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in English Teaching with an ESL endorsement. After graduating, I taught 10th grade Language Arts and Senior AP Literature at Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah. While teaching high school was a blast, I am excited for this new opportunity to work with a younger population.
When I am not teaching, you might finding my making pottery, reading a novel, or spending time with my partner Nate. He is also a teacher (we used to work at Cyprus together) and we enjoy many conversations about education and our teaching profession. We love to travel, camp, and are always in the midst of a house project. We have a dog named Ladybird and a cat named Hilde.

- Hello Salt Lake Arts Academy, As an alum of Slarts, I am so excited to be back where my love of learning began. I earned my Bachelor's of English Teaching with an ESL Endorsement from the University of Utah. I spent the first years of my teaching career at Cyprus High School where I taught 10th grade English and AP Literature. Being an English teacher allows me to live out the things I love most in life - reading, writing, and gaining a better understanding of what it means to be human. When I am not working, I love spending time with my partner, Nate and my dog, Lady. We love to travel and explore new places.
