The Utah School Report Cards is how the Utah State Board of Education measures how schools are performing, in general. Just like with student report cards, it cannot capture everything that makes a school effective, and doesn't reflect all the nuances of school culture and community. We are proud to say that SLArts received an "A," and in fact, scored higher than any public middle school in the Salt Lake District and was among the very top scorers of "points" measured by the USBE, of all public middle schools in Salt Lake County, for 2021-22
The Report Card takes into account student proficiency data on the RISE test, and also looks at "growth" - the measure of how students improved from one year to another. We are especially proud of the growth of our students!
If you would like to drill down into the data, here are some resources, plus an article from the Tribue with a good explanation of how to look at the School Report Card.
